Here the way how to add colours in your name in COD4

You must first connect STEAM

In the settings of name you must add symbol ^ and a number corresponding to the colour you want 

Here are the numbers :

^1 = Red
^2 = Green
^3 = Yellow
^4 = Blue
^5 = Cyan
^6 = pink/Magenta
^7 = White
^0 = Black

So for example for [ISS] SEAWOLF  , you put following name in STEAM => ^7[^2I^7S^1S^7]^4S^7EAWOL^1F

The tag [ISS] has italian colours ( for all ISS members ) and In SEAWOLF , the S is blue , EAWOL is white and F is red

When you want to play , first you must connect STEAM , and only when STEAM is open , you connect COD4

Had it this way for months, will not work for me, connot get rid of the gold colour, steam say it is activision problem.

Casterdon , if i have well understood what you say , it is not a problem , the gold color is only visible for you . All other players see white colour . It is normal , i have same .
